Getting metadata

HOW TO SEARCH FOR AN ARTICLE METADATA

The bibliographic reference and metadata of an article can be searched in the abstract page, through “Reading tools” panel, linking to “How to cite item” and “Indexing metadata”.

See example

The bibliographic reference of an article can be retrieved in several formats through the link “How to cite item”. The article URI address or DOI code are included, when the last is provided. Both DOI and URI are perennial Web addresses.

See DOI example
See URI example

Information about an article by defined fields can be retrieved according to Dublin Core metadata format using “Indexing metadata” link. The URI of the article, as well as DOI when it is incorporated, are both included in the field number 10 of “Indexing metadata”.

See example for indexing metadata

HOW TO GET THE FULL TEXT OF AN ARTICLE FROM THE WEB PAGE

The link can be made using the article URI address that appears in the navigator bar either in the abstract or in the PDF full text.

In the case of using DOI code, the sequence http://dx.doi.org/ must precede the own DOI code. Example:

the active link to the doi:10.3989/arbor.2009.i737.315
would be: http://dx.doi.org/10.3989/arbor.2009.i737.315
