REVISTAS CSIC

The CSIC holds a long tradition as a publisher of scholarly Journals, beginning in 1914 with the Revista de Filología Española (Journal of Spanish Philology), published by CSIC  predecessor, the Junta de Ampliación de Estudios e Investigaciones Científicas.

In January 2006, the CSIC signed the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities. As a consequence of point 1 of said Declaration, the online publishing of scholarly Journals is presented in an Open Access format.

The printed and online editions of Journals are identical in content and both are maintained simultaneously. The historical content back to the foundation of each Journal will be gradually incorporated into electronic format.
